Day One | Arrival In Srinagar

Welcome to Srinagar, the mesmerizing “Lake City” of Kashmir! Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your traditional houseboat accommodation on the serene Dal Lake. Experience the vibrant local culture at a handicraft shop, browsing exquisite hand-crafted items like Kashmiri shawls, jackets, paper mache art, and intricate carpets. As the day ends, embark on a leisurely shikara ride on Dal Lake, soaking in the lively markets lining its shores. Day Two | Srinagar  ⇄  Sonmarg

Embark on a full-day excursion to the picturesque Sonamarg, the ‘Meadow of Gold’ and the last stop before entering Ladakh territory. Situated at 2,743m, this alpine destination is renowned for trout and masher fishing in the fast-flowing Sindh River during summer. Opt for an exhilarating pony ride (at your own cost) to one of the glaciers, where you can frolic amidst snow and ice. After a day amidst natural splendor, return to your hotel in Srinagar for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day Three | Srinagar  ⇄  Doodhpathri

Following breakfast, proceed to Doodhpathri Valley, nestled in the Budgam district amidst the bowl-shaped expanse of the Pir Panjal Range. This alpine valley boasts snow-capped peaks, offering a serene ambiance away from the tourist hustle. Despite challenging road conditions, immerse yourself in the tranquility of Doodhpathri before returning to Srinagar for a cozy overnight stay at a hotel.

Day Four | Srinagar  →  Pahalgam

Following breakfast, embark on a journey to Pahalgam, famously known as the ‘valley of shepherds’, nestled at the meeting point of streams from the Lidder River and Sheesh Nag Lake. En route, explore the historic Awantipora ruins, a temple complex dating back 1100 years dedicated to Lord Vishnu, commissioned by King Awantivarman. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, revel in the natural splendor or take a leisurely stroll to Bai Saran, approximately 2 km from Pahalgam, offering picturesque views amidst pine and fir forests. Day Five | Pahlagam

In the morning, you’ll set off for Aru Valley and Chandanwari by car (at your own expense). Aru, a charming village situated 11 km upstream along the Lidder River, offers stunning vistas and plentiful camping spots along the route. Serving as the gateway to treks leading to the Kolahoi Glacier, Aru is renowned for its expansive meadow, Bai-saran, nestled amidst dense pine forests. En route to Chandanwari, you’ll pass through the scenic locales of Hajan and Betaab Valley. After a day of exploration, retire for the night at a hotel in Pahalgam.

Day Six | Pahlagam → Gulmarg

In the morning, leave Pahalgam to embark on a scenic drive to Gulmarg, famously known as the “meadow of flowers”. The journey from Srinagar to Gulmarg is truly enchanting, captivating travelers with its natural splendor. Globally renowned for skiing and snowboarding, Gulmarg’s legacy dates back to the British Raj when it served as a European hill resort. Immerse yourself in the European ambiance of Gulmarg, where you can explore its 18-hole golf course and experience the thrill of riding the Gondola Cable Car, the world’s highest and Asia’s longest (at your own expense). Day Seven | Gulmarg → Srinagar

Following breakfast, explore the remaining sightseeing attractions in Gulmarg. Once you’ve taken in all the beauty Gulmarg has to offer, continue your journey to Srinagar. Upon arrival in Srinagar, transfer to a houseboat for a relaxing rest and enjoy the serene surroundings. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience the tranquil waters of Dal Lake with a Shikara ride. Spend the night on the houseboat, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of Srinagar.

Day Eight | Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, you will be escorted to Srinagar Airport to commence your onward journey, carrying with you everlasting memories of your time spent in the beautiful valley.
